Since 2001, a group of us involved at the Curtain Theatre have been performing “The Pace Egg” at various venues around Lancashire and donating the proceeds to Springhill Hospice. We use (fairly loosely) the “The Peace Egg, or St George, an Easter Play.” printed by Edwards & Bryning.
Our first performances were on Easter Sunday, 2001 at The Spring Inn, Broad Lane, Rochdale. We even appear as a footnote in “The Lancashire Pace Egg Play.” by Eddie Cass, FLS Books, 2001, and Mr. Cass has been to several performances since then.
